NEW JOB POSTINGS Please click here to view our current job listings. “Coker Motion 2005” During January and February 2005 Premay Equipment L.P. moved the two largest and heaviest loads to date from Dacro Industries in Edmonton to the Suncor Energy plant site north of Fort McMurray . Working closely with Suncor Energy and Bantrel Inc. over the last 24 months Premay developed, engineered and supplied the transport frame surrounding the vessel that allowed these moves to cross the bridges on the way to Fort McMurray. These Coker vessel loads were 38’ high, 34’ wide, 290’ long with the lead tractor unit and a gross weight of 1,800,000 lbs. Actual vessel weight was 940,000 lbs. The trip to site was 800 km long and lasted 9 days. Obstacles en route ranged from days when it was too cold to move to days when warm weather caused pavement loading concerns and power lines to droop! With seven tractor units pulling and pushing up hills the Premay team moved these loads safely and without incident to our clients plant site. From Engineering, fabrication, operational planning and the guys in the field executing these moves, it proves again that Premay is the market leader in the Specialized Heavy haul Industry.
